Strep throat pain still persist even though i'm taking antibiotics. what can i do?

Many Solutions...: Antibiotic treatment doesn't affect the total time frame of strep symptoms by much. So, over-the-counter and home remedies are the way to go for the pain relief. I like the chloraceptic lozenges (not a fan of the spray). Ice chips/cubes and Motrin or aleve (naproxen) can be helpful too. There aren't a lot of wrong answers. If you find somethings that helps do it. Symptoms take 4-7 days to resolve on avg.

Throat pain: Saltwater gargles are helpful. Mix a tsp of salt in 8 oz of warm water – gargle w this several times/day. You can gargle w aloe vera juice a couple of times per day. A mix of chamomile tea w honey ; a small amount of lemon juice is good. Homemade ginger tea also helps. For significant pain consider nsaid's or tylenol (acetaminophen).
