Prevention: Reversal is unlikely, prevention is the best method. Using ear plugs/protective ear wear if you use heavy machinery and avoid loud music, especially with headphones.

May Not Be Able: Depending on the cause, you may not be able to reverse any hearing loss. You may only be able to protect what you have left. See your doctor to determine the cause of the loss. If it can be treated, they will start treatment. If it cannot be fixed, then learn how to protect what you have left.

May not be possible: If you have "nerve deafness" reversal is not possible. If you have a "conductive" deafness from fluid or a problem with your middle ear bones it is possible. Hearing aids are very important to use if you have a significant hearing loss. Please see an ENT doctor for a good exam and hearing test.
