REQUEST DENIED: Only dentists in ny. Can place composite fillings.You can always ask any hygienist to ask the dentist that you are requesting composite fillings.

Yes: In wa state, dental hygienists can place the fillings for you. Make sure whomever is placing your fillings understands what you want before they get started. It's easy for things to get misinterpreted once you are numb and in the middle of dental work.

Some states yes!: Some states let trained licensed dental auxiliaries drill and place composite fillings. (i am not certain they are able to make a diagnosis without the supervision of a dentist). Other states only allow auxiliaries to place the filling. And many states don't allow anyone but a dentist to diagnose or place a composite filling. Read up on your state dental laws.
