Specializes in Dentistry - Cosmetic

2 years: Most accredited dental hygiene programs take 2 years to complete. There are prerequisites to be admitted to an RDH program that do not necessarily involve getting a Bachelor's degree but can take quite awhile if the courses are not readily available or offered in sequence. A counselor or admisssions officer with each of the RDH programs can be more specific.

2-4 years: The Bureau of Labor Statistics expects demand for a dental hygienist to grow by 38 percent until 2020. There is a 2-year certificate or associate's program with a technical school and 4-year bachelor's degrees in dental hygiene. In any case you are in the right place at the right time. Good luck.
