Yes: Amoxicillin , Keflex , Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) ceclore are all good for dental infections.

Allergy to what?: Depends if you have an actual allergy, and also depends on what your dental issues are. This is best discussed with your dentist and physician.

What is the definition or description of: clindamycin allergy?
The dentist prescribed clindamycin 300mg (no penicillin because of penicillin allergy) twice a day for 8 days for a tooth abscess. Do you think it is a very low dosage, wrong to be taken in 2 doses only? Would it be effective as prescribed?
Diabetes. Pen allergy. Cycle of clindamycin post oral surgery. "Probably infected in spots." Prescribed another Clin cycle combo w/ metronidazole. OK?
I have been prescribed with clindamycin 300mg and ibuprofen 800mg for a severe tooth infection but as i took my first pill of the day, my face and lip area and started to swell up but no pain had occurred. Is this a sign of allergy?
