I have been prescribed with clindamycin 300mg and ibuprofen 800mg for a severe tooth infection but as i took my first pill of the day, my face and lip area and started to swell up but no pain had occurred. is this a sign of allergy?

Yes, stop both medications although Clindamycin is likely the offender especially you took Ibuprofen OTC without problem in the past. Call the dentist for a different antibiotic if you have no problem with Ibuprofen in the past.
