Can you tell me more: A tongue ulcer could be caused from an irritation, such as from rubbing a sharp piece of a worn or broken tooth. It is usually very sore, and irritated more by hot or spicy foods. A sore tongue can also be associated with a condition called 'burning mouth syndrome.' it is a good idea to try to find out the cause of the problem. A mild medicine painted right on the area may help the discomfort.
