It can be: Sometimes decreasing the dose or increasing it more slowly can help. Also, oftem these side effects go away after a week or two. There is also an extended release Gabapentin that some tolerate better. Finally, there may be other drugs that won't cause this problem but still be helpful. Please let your doc know you're having problems.
