When your regular doctor is OOT or unavailable, she(he) is both ethically and legally required to have signed out with a covering doctor. Your state Board of Medical Examiners would not look fondly on this, and likely coverage is present. Contact the Board to seek the person to contact. Do not change anything independently at this point.
