No: To gain muscle, you must increase strength training. Check with your local university, to see if there is an exercise physiologist. They can help you design a weight lifting program to help you build muscle. He correctly, limit soda, sugar, carbohydrates. Increase your protein, an increase your cardiovascular exercise.
