3: I use neurontin, (gabapentin) lyrics and Lidoderm patch. Capsaicin cream is approved as well, but seems to be less liked by patients due to the stinging sensation associated with it at least in the beginning phase of treatment.

Lyrica (pregabalin): Is what dr pavel meant. It's used to decrease the irritation/ pain caused by phn. Good luck!

PHN: Phn= postherpetic neuralgia/neuropathy. Multimodality approach is best as medications alone may not be sufficient. Some medications that can be useful include topicals, pain relief patches, antseizure medications, opioids, antidepressants. Good luck.
