Microdermabrasion: Microdermabrasion removes the most superficial aspect of the superficial skin. By removing the dead skin, the surface is smoother and refreshed. Because the treatment is superficial, the results are temporary and a series of treatments is usually required to see results.

Minimal: Microdermabrasion is removing the top layer of the skin. A single treatment would make the skin feel smoother. One usually requires several treatments to see an appreciable improvement. The immediate response is increased blood supply. One might enjoy a more refreshed look after a single treatment, but most need continued regular treatments for optimal improvement.
