A member asked:

I had a liver biopsy and have had terrible pain when i breath since. i had a dye-ct scan which was negative. why such pain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Biopsy approach: Depending on approach to the liver, you can sometimes stimulate a nerve (did they go between the ribs?). Also, the capsule surrounding the liver is very sensitive and difficult to numb. The pain should go away, but may take time. So long as you feel ok, and the pain is not increasing, you can use whatever meds your doctor suggests.
