Depends: Finding a liver lesion on ct depends on the attenuation difference between the lesion and normal liver.On noncontrast ct many liver lesions usually are not visible, since the contrast between lesion and the surrounding liver parenchyma is too low.Round lesion measuring water density on noncontrast ct is most likely a simple cyst.However, dedicated liver ct or MRI is the way to go when there is a ?

It might not: The dye is used to show blood vessels or vascularity.Solid tissue has blood vessels whereas a cyst , typically, does not.
