Lymphedema clinic: You can see if there is a lymphedema clinic someplace near you. They deal with all of the issues involved with it. Sometimes getting regular massages can help. Also, they do make nighttime compression sleeves, that can 'milk' or massage the fluid out better. Finally, can you have you job modified or even get a new one that does not involve standing so much?

Compression pump: Lymphedema is chronic condition that is tough to manage. The basic involve good stockings adequate compression strength durability & fitted properly stockings & home message and breathing exercises. Next step involves intermittent sequential compression pump to remove excess swelling the first steps haven't removed. Make sure the basic are covered. Weight loss may help. Don't get discouraged!

Nonelastic pressure: Since you have to stand so much, you would probably do better with non-elastic compression than with compression stockings. Otherwise, i completely agree with dr. Wright's excellent answer. Check out http://www.Circaid.Com. Circaid garments are actually easier than stockings to apply, and generally do a better job of controlling swelling than stockings to. A lymphedmea therapist can help too.
