Child may visit: Yes, but i assume by this time she's been on antibiotics and is on the road to recovery.

Yes: Pneumonia can definitely be contagious but it varies depending on what type of bacteria or virus is causing the lung infection and whether the patient has been on the appropriate antibiotic for the infection. Most viral respiratory infections can't be treated with antibiotics (except "real influenza" can be treated in the first 48 hrs with tamiflu). Might be better to not expose your little one.
