I have an infected hair follicle on my leg which i've read is folliculitis and is contagious. if my 6 month old gets it, can it be dangerous to him?

Soap and water: Even if your son is in direct contact, it is unlikely he will develop a skin infection. A layer of clothing should be fine. Keep the area washed clean daily and if not getting better, see your doctor for help.
