Be patient: There are several things that can influence the production of white blood cells & produce a transient low number. Most are benign & relate to the effect of a prior illness, symptomatic or not. Have the appropriate followup & find out. But try not to loose sleep over a single lab test.

Wait for results: The obvious question is whether your partner is hiv+ or has a high likelihood of being so. You can have low WBC counts without having any suggestion of HIV disease, and if you had a baby 11 mos ago it is likely you were tested HIV negative at that time. Suspect your test will be negative and you can relax.
