Yes: Pulled muscles from exercise require heat or cold applications, rest and analgesics (topicals or orals). If there is bruising, muscle spasms, inability to walk upright, or loss of motion in a joint, you should see a doctor. It is safe to treat the discomfort for a few days on your own if your symptoms are usual and expected for your sport. Remember hydration, and take vitamin d this winter.
