Can kanamycin be used to treat hearing loss?

No,it can CAUSE loss: Kanamycin is in the class of antibiotics known as aminoglycosides. All are potentially ototoxic, some affect hearing more than the balance and others the opposite. These medications would never be used to treat hearing loss.
