Staph infection: I assume a culture was obtained and antibiotic sensitivities in progress? The greatest concern is that the Doxycycline is not effective. If so, a change needs to be made asap. Stay closely in touch wiht your treating physician. If the cultures were not done, get them done tomorrow, although doing them after starting the antibiotics and Bacitracin will likely make results less accurate.

Infection of skin.: Acute infectious disorder of skin usually present with redness, swelling, warmth, and tenderness. At times the skin may drain fluid at the site of a localized infection. Initially the fluid may be thick and green. As the infection improves the fluid becomes more watery and clear. The yellow oozing may be an indication of improvement. With time the drainage will stop and healing will take place.
