Pain Persists: When you sprain a joint, your injury exceeds the tissues which hold the joint together, so the joint opens and closes in painful ways, the attachment of the ligament to the bone is tender, the muscles in the area develop knots and painful tightness to compensate the joint. A soft tissue examination with an experienced physician or physical therapist is recommended. Prolotherapy is curative.
