If sure it is DOMS: I.E. Onset of pain in first 24 hrs, then getting better, prob no need for concern but know youre stressing the muscles & respect that (allow 48-72hrs recovery). Consider ice immed after w/o.. I can't medically explain why it helps but had good luck w a supplement called sportlegs for doms. If pain gets worse please call your doc. Also make sure to warm up, cool down & strengthen both quads & hams.

Not at all: I commend you for your efforts. As you increase your intensity of therapy, it is normal to have delayed muscle soreness. This should be short lived and respond with a period of rest, nsaid's, and perhaps moist heat. If you have pain with daily activities such as walking, it might indicate too much stress or strain on the fracture site. A day off from exercise should alleviate the muscle pain.
