A member asked:

Self-loathing, angry, and depressed all my life. any advice?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Seek support: Be gentle with yourself. Self-loathing is a rather severe form of abuse we inflict on ourselves, and yet we don't recognize how abusive this is to our well-being. Anger and depression are common reactions when we feel so bad about ourselves. You will need to find ways to not do this to yourself. Seek psychological treatment to determine how to best be free of old emotional wounds.
