Perhaps of interest: Cat scans are good screening tests for large significant lesions, but do a mediocre job at best for ms lesions, and very early small tumors. Maybe your problem does not involve ms or tumor, but discuss this with your doctor and share as to what problems he thinks you may have. Mri films are perhaps a better way to check for smaller inflammatory lesions.

Perhaps based on : Your history and a physical, the neurologist is not concerned about ms or tumor. Ct is not the optimal way of imaging for ms or tumor, unless very severe. Mri without and with contrast is the best first examination for these two diseases.
