Prozac (fluoxetine): Prozac (fluoxetine) has a very long half-life, so it self-tapers when stopped. However, the question about treating your anxiety disorder remains. You will still need help with this -- psychotherapy can help, and there are other medications that may help. You and your doctor could also consider lowering the dose of prozac, (fluoxetine) to see if you can tolerate that better. It can be more activating than fluvoxamine.
