How can i know if i have a collapsed lung or acute pericarditis?

Chest X-ray and EKG: A collapsed lung is typically seen on chest x-ray. Acute pericarditis often has typical findings on an electrocardiogram (ekg). Both may cause shortness of breath, but generally, pericarditis is more likely to cause chest pain.

Would probably know: For a collapsed lung you would have breathing difficulty. Pericarditis usually has chest pain associated with it.
