How can you differentiate pericarditis symptoms from just severe heartburn? bad chest pain left side, worse when laying down and breathing in.

Cardiologist: I would recommend for you to go to a cardiologist. He will probably get an EKG and depending on its findings recommend particular managements. Interestingly enough the treatment for pericarditis would worsen gastritis since it is basically NSAIDS.
