Count on it.: When the nail is removed, without removing or destroying the nail root, it will almost always grow back. In fact it will probably either look the same or be worse. The cause of the deformity should be considered. Is the thickness caused by trauma (a cow stepping on your toe) of fungal infection. The toe fungal infection can be treated with varying degrees of success. The post traumatic needs surge.
