In the Details.: Some toenail surgeries will allow the toenail to regrow. But, there are procedures that permanently stop the nail from regrowing. This variation is usually explained before the surgery is done and your consent given. Having said that, some times the nail root is stunted during the nail removal procedure. This can temporarily slow regrowth of the involved nail. You might check with the surgeon.
