No career risk : Dental personnel who have had rheumatic fever are not at any risk working in the dental field. Nor are the patients that they care for. There can be some lingering complication to those who have had r fever. Heart and heart valve damage for one. The infection control procedures that are followed makes it a safe work site. More risk catching cold.
