Which usually gets people's bodyfat lower quicker weight loss or strength training?

Body fat: Carbohydrate restriction will provide the desired effect of increased fat burning. This, combined with cardio and weight training will get you the desired effect quicker than the former alone. Reaching ketosis requires less than 50-60g of carbohydrate daily and less than 1.2-1.5g/kg/day of protein.

Yes: However ultimately it is getting your heart rate up. This can be done with cardio or weight training. Advantage of weight training is that muscle uses more calories and energy and therefore will burn more eaten calories.

A 49-year-old member asked:
What is the ratio of strength training per cardio if your target is weight loss?

Dr. Keith Joe answered

No clear answer: Not sure that there is a set answer for this: however i would definitely encourage 40min of moderate intensity cardio 4-5 days per week, and then can supplement with weight training as well. Weight loss is predicated on intake vs output: ie how many calories you are taking in vs how many you are burning. Do not ignore your diet, take a good hard look at what you are eating, very important.
