How to tell if i have pre-diabetic insulin resistance?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Blood sugar: Prediabetes refers to "impaired fasting glucose" or "impaired glucose tolerance". If your fasting glu is 100 or less, you are ok. If between 100 and 125, you are "impaired". Over 126 is diabetes. Some people measure an Insulin level, but I do not find it useful. If you are overweight, you are probably Insulin resistant. If you are pre-diabetic, the most important treatment is diet/exercise.
