Possibly TMJ: Could possibly be what we refer to as TMJ syndrome- the tempero mandibular joint(tmj), is right in front of the ear..... Commonly aggravated by stress, and by grinding your teeth at night. Youshould be examined by your dentist to evaluate. In the meantime, you can try relaxing your jaw as much as possible, and chew softer foods, for several days.
