Sleep timing: If you go to bed late but can then sleep well for 8 hours it is a sleep timing problem. If you are wide awake at midnight but life's schedule forces you awake in the morning that is the problem. Youth tend to have this problem. Keep light including tv and computer at a minimum after 9 pm. Use bright light in the morning. Low dose melatonin at night can shift your natural bedtime a little also.
