Lung or pleura: Any irritant of the lung or its tissue covering (pleura) can cause pain in the shoulder blade and lung. It could be a virus, bacterial infection (pneumonia), fungus, tumor or other irritant. It merits a careful evaluation by a cardiologist or pulmonologist.
