Maybe but..: You may have a more serious problem that may be life threatening called sleep apnea. I would suggest you see a physician to diagnose what is wrong and suggest the correct treatment.

Maybe: But your snoring may be a sign of a life threatening condition called sleep apnea. A sleep aid may assist you in staying asleep during a blockage of air and could kill. I suggest seeing a physician experienced in sleep to screen for apnea. If you only snore, then the sleep aid may be a good idea.
