Ankle swelling : Swelling can be weakness of your veins not returning blood to heart as quickly as before. You can help flow of blood and prevent further weakening by elevating legs every 2 hours for 10 to 15 minutes. Reasons are mechanical, metabolic, cardiac, renal and infectious. If elevation intervals during day do not help, get compression socks, supportive shoes and see doctor to rule out more causes.
