Post op: It appears that if the painful area that persists in the area where you had tooth #2 extracted over two weeks ago, it may be a bone fragment that has lost it's blood supply and could become more problematic. It could also be a pathology with an entirely different origin. Either way, i suggest that you return to the treating doctor for an examination.

Either possibility: Best answer is to go back to dentist who extracted tooth or to an oral surgeon to evaluate area properly. There is a limit as to what you can do over the internet.
