I have c-diff and took a course od flagyl, as well as, oral vancomycin 500 mg q6 hrs. x 14 days & am still c-diff positive. what's the next step?

With symptoms.?: Note: treatment success is measured by clinical resolution of the diarrhea. Did the diarrhea go away? If so, no further treatment is necessary. Otherwise, several alternatives includes: 1. Vanco taper, 2. Vanco with Rifaximin chaser, 3. Fidaxomicin , 4. Fecal transplant, 5. Colectomy. The 5th choice is too aggressive in my opinion. I favor #4 though there is an "ick" factor involved. Good luck!
