No: Needs another xray to check for screws backing out, nonunion, etc. Discuss it with your surgeon if nerve entrapment, stiffness in the joint, frozen sesamoids, or prior to surgery cartilage damage is the result of pain post realignment.

Bunion Pain: Every person is different and heals differently . It is not unusual to have bunion pain even a year after surgery. You may want to ask your physician to take an x-ray to make sure the hardware is in place and hasn't moved. You may also want to have custom molded orthotics made to help keep your foot in a more neutral position.

Not at all: If you are still having pain 11 months after bunion surgery you need to have further evaluation. Conditions such as nonunion of the bone, osteomyelitis(bone infection), avascular necrosis (avn where the bone has lost vascularization and dies). If your original surgeon is not trying to find the reason for you pain, seek a 2nd opinion.

NO: A lot? Like 8/10, 9/10, 10/10. That's not normal; go back to your surgeon. But also for consideration; did you follow your surgeon's post-op orders. Many patients don't.
