Smooth forehead: People who are bothered by the lines in their foreheads get Botox there to smooth or relax those wrinkles. A few units (7.5-10) is enough to achieve a nice and natural effect and not make the forehead completely "plastic" looking. I like to maintain a band of about 2cm above each brow so that the patient can still animate and lift their brows. Brands are Botox cosmetic, Dysport and xeomin (incobotulinumtoxin a).

Softer expression: It is definitely possible to overkill the Botox effect in the forehead that leads to flat and unnatural expression, droopy brows, or eyelid drooping. However, carefully done, it will soften harsh lines while maintaining some expression. The key is not to overdo it and keep a natural appearance.

Prevent engraving: Over time, the horizontal lines on the forehead can become engraved into the skin. By keeping the muscles that cause scrunching of the skin on the forehead relaxed, we can prevent those lines from becoming permanent. The forehead is a very popular area to treat, but keep in mind that overtreating this area can result in drooping of the brow.
