Yes: Especially if you move while standing. For children with cerebral palsy, time in a stander (where the muscles are working to hold the body up against gravity) is an important part of building bone mass. For healthy children and adults time spent standing also builds or maintains bone in the legs. Some jumping or other activity will magnify this effect.
