A member asked:

How does fasciitis develop in the foot?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Fasciitis: By fasciitis, i assume you mean plantar fasciitis which is a common cause of heel pain. This is the result of biomechanical factors such as flat feet, high arched feet and tight achilles tendons. Another fasciitis, necrotizing fasciitis, is a serious infection which is caused by a certain type of bacteria. This requires emergent surgery to remove the infection.
