May be significant: Abdomenal pain with runny stools in your age group could indicate inflammatory bowel disease(ibd). Blood in stools is always abnormal. You need a colonoscopy at the minimum and this could tell the tale. It may be something as simple as hemorrhoids, but with runny stools, especially if there is weight loss, is more indicative of ibd. See a good gastroenterologist or colo-rectal surgeon.
