See a doctor: You should see a dr. Asap. Let him or her know if you have been using any laxatives or enemas. Also, let them know if you have tried excessive dieting or have made yourself throw up. There could be other reasons also, so that is why you should get evaluated soon.

My stool is frequently covered in white mucus. This is not unusual for me. However, I have just had a bowel movement covered in thick, brown mucus. Does this mean that there is blood in my stool?
