Inflammation: Some kind of inflammatory condition can be suspected with bilateral hand and wrist swelling in your age group. Sometimes negative blood tests can be a false negative. However, hormonal changes, especially in women, can cause water retention and swelling as well. Warm soaks, rest, and antiinflammatory medication may help.
