Most common dx is RA: In someone with this presentation (like you have). Need to be re-investigated as 3 yrs a long time ago. See a rheumatologist who'll be able to help you most. Good luck.

Time to see: Rheumatologist again for another complete evaluation if your joint defects are progressive. Diagnostic criteria and diagnostic testing change over time and indeed tests that were previously negative may turn out positive this time around. Best wishes and good luck.

Can be inflammatory: You have symptoms on both sides of your body involving large and small joints. You may have some type of inflammatory arthritis such as rheumatoid arthritis (ra). Sometimes the tests for RA such as the rf and anticcp antibodies can be negative; and you can still have ra. Consider seeing a rheumatologist.
