Gum tag: It might be a piece of loose gum tissue, or perhaps something else. See the dentist who removed the tooth for a follow-up visit, if not already scheduled.

Loose gum.: Sometimes, after a wisdom tooth is removed, the gum tissue will be "flapping". Some dentists leave it that way and other dentists will either remove it or stitch it to the rest of the gum. No matter which way, it will eventually heal and you'll be fine.
