Depends: After wisdom teeth are removed some patients may have some bone that protrudes from the gums. Whether or not it is a serious problem or not depends on the size and location of the exposed bone and how much discomfort it is causing. If the exposed bone is significantly large, your dentist or surgeon may have to perform a minor procedure to remove it. Your dentist or surgeon can advise you.

See your doctor: See your docto who extracted your tooth it sounds as if that is necrotic bone which stayed exposed after the extraction have it removed so the gums can properly heal over the extraction site if later it doesn't heal over then you have a different type of problemr.

Bone fragment: In addition to the possibility of necrotic bone, it could also be a loose bone fragment working its way to the surface.
